Consolidation of phase 2 sounds, High frequency words, Tricky words
Supplies
Phase 2 sound cards.
Decodable HFW cards
- Phase 2 caption cards: go to the top of the hill, miss the bell, rip a sack, as hot as the sun, sit back to back, a pin on a map, Dad is sick
Tricky word cards
Phoneme frames for each child (preferably laminated so children can re-use).
Phase 2 sound mat for each child. Ideally you would use the letters only sound mat, but use your teacher judgement if you feel some children would benefit from the sound mat with pictures.
