Week Thirteen

In this thirteenth week of Phase 1, lessons will cover:

Aspect 4: Rhythm and Rhyme

Aspect 5: Alliteration

Children will sort objects according to its initial sound, and play Alliterative Animals. In enhanced provision, they will take part in a cut and stick activity, choosing two animals that have the same initial sound.

This phase 1 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 1 phonics resources to help children make progress in phonics.
