Week Nineteen

In this nineteenth week of Phase 1, lessons will cover:

Aspect 2: Instrumental Sounds

Aspect 5: Alliteration

Aspect 6: Voice Sounds

Children will play a game of musical animals, representing animals with a sound. They will also play a game of I Spy to practise alliteration. During enhanced provision, they will use puppets to practise voice sounds.

This phase 1 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 1 phonics resources to help children make progress in phonics.
