Week Twenty Four

In this twenty fourth week of Phase 1, lessons will cover:

Aspect 1: Environmental Sounds.

Aspect 7: Oral Blending and Segmenting.

Children will practise oral blending and segmenting with a game of Cross the River, and will also practise listening to different sounds with a game of Sound Bingo. In enhanced provision children will practise differentiating between indoor and outdoor sounds.

This phase 1 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 1 phonics resources to help children make progress in phonics.
