- Phase 5 sound cards:
ay, ou, ie, ea, oy, ir, ue/ ue, wh, ph, ew/ew, aw, au, oe, a-e, e-e, i-e, o-e, u-e - print in A4. - Music player e.g. CD player.
- Phase 5 alternative i pronunciation cards (enough for one set per pair).
- Red and green cards (one of each colour for each child).
- Write the following questions on the board before the session:
Can a chick live in the wild?
Could you find an igloo in a hot place?
Can a blind child sit on a chair? - Phase 5 phonics extension sheets for today's alternative pronunciation.
