- Phase 5 sound cards:
ay, ou, ie, ea, oy, ir, ue/ ue, wh, ph, ew/ew, aw, au, oe, a-e. - Phase 5 digraph rhyme card: 'he ate the cake'.
- ‘a-e’ split digraph picture cards
- Scissors (one pair).
- Write out the ‘ae’ sound (no gap) on 5 large cards. You will be cutting these in half to demonstrate the split vowel sound.
- Chosen method of recording - paper, books etc. + pencils.
- 'Carmen is Brave' mini-book.
- Phase 5 phonics extension sheet for today's GPC.
