Phase 4

Week Three

In this third week of phase 4, children will continue revising phase 3 graphemes and phonemes and continue reading words with adjacent consonants. Children will work on the tricky words: when, out, what, were, there, little and one. They will also work on reading and writing simple sentences.

This phase 4 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 4 phonics resources to help children make progress.
