Week One

In this first week of Phase 3, children will learn to say and recognise the sounds: j, v, w, x. Children will start to read captions using their knowledge of phase 2 phonics.

This phase 3 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 3 phonics resources to help children make progress.
