Week Nine

In this ninth week of Phase 1, lessons will cover:

Aspect 3: Body Percussion

Aspect 4: Rhythm and Rhyme

Children will play a game of Name Syllables, clapping out the number of syllables in each other's names. They will also play a game of Follow the Leader, coping and repeating clapping sounds. During enhanced provision, they will focus on fine motor skills, manipulating different materials.

This phase 1 phonics planning is aligned with the order of teaching in the Letters and Sounds framework, and is packed full of easy to prepare teaching input and phase 1 phonics resources to help children make progress in phonics.
